DigiCart/E provides an extra level of reliability by storing audio files on its own local hard drive, in addition to the Ethernet Audio file server. For example, by optionally copying files from the server to a DigiCart/E, playback is virtually guaranteed, regardless of the status of the audio network. Should a file used by Master Control be removed from the server, it can be played from the local hard drive on Master Control's DigiCart.
